New Pet Patient Examination Services

One of the best ways to keep pets healthy is through regular check-ups with a veterinarian. During a new patient examination, we perform a comprehensive physical assessment to ensure that your pet is in good health.

  1. Paperwork: Before your pet’s appointment, we ask that you fill out a new patient registration form. This form requires basic information about your pet, including their name, age, breed, and any health concerns.
  2. Medical History: We also request medical records from any previous veterinarian that you may have used so that we have a complete understanding of your pet’s medical history.
  3. Physical Exam: During the exam, our veterinarian will ask you questions about your pet’s behavior and lifestyle. The veterinarian will then perform a comprehensive exam of your pet, which includes checking their weight, temperature, pulse, skin, ears, nose, and eyes.
  4. Diagnostic Tests: During the exam, our vet may need to perform diagnostic tests to get a complete picture of your pet’s health. This may involve taking a blood sample, doing a urinalysis, or getting X-rays. We will make sure to let you know when there are any additional charges related to these diagnostic tests performed by outside laboratories.
  5. Follow-Up: Once the exam is complete, our veterinarian will discuss their findings with you and recommend any necessary treatment options or preventive care measures. After your visit, our office will call to inform you of the results of the laboratory tests taken that day and any next steps that may be necessary to improve the health of your pet.
